Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how SOIVIS LLC, doing business as dropafinder (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the dropafinder service (“Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register we collect your name, email address, and any other information you provide. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (card number, billing address) are handled directly by our payment processor, Paddle — we do not store raw card data.
Location data you manage
The Service stores the location records, addresses, custom fields, and tags you upload or enter in the builder. This data is used solely to power your finder widget and related analytics.
Usage data
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, actions taken in the builder, and timestamps. This helps us improve the product and diagnose issues.
Widget interaction data
When end-users interact with a finder widget embedded on your website, we may collect anonymized search queries, location selections, and interaction events for analytics purposes. We do not build individual profiles of your website visitors.
Log and device data
We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs. This data is used for security monitoring and infrastructure operations.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service — store and serve your location data, render the builder, authenticate your account.
- To improve the Service — analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and prioritize features.
- To communicate with you — send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, plan notifications) and, where you have opted in, product updates.
- To process payments — share the minimum necessary billing information with Paddle to complete transactions.
- To comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from authorities and fulfill our regulatory duties.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects anonymized event data about how users interact with the Service. This data is processed in accordance with PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and functional cookies necessary for the Service to operate. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may impair Service functionality.
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following categories of third parties:
- Paddle (billing) — processes subscription payments and stores billing details. Subject to Paddle’s Privacy Policy.
- Map and geocoding providers(Google Maps, Mapbox, HERE, Radar.io, Geoapify) — when you configure a finder to use one of these providers, end-user search queries may be transmitted to that provider. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing that data.
- PostHog— product analytics as described in Section 3.
- Infrastructure providers— cloud hosting and CDN services used to operate the Service. These providers process data only as instructed by us and are bound by data processing agreements.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and location data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer. Analytics data is retained according to your plan tier (see the pricing page for retention periods by plan).
6. Your Rights (GDPR and Similar Laws)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability — export your location data in a machine-readable format. The Service includes a built-in data export feature accessible from your account settings.
- Restriction — ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dropafinder.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to hello@dropafinder.com.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
