Shape

The Shape (Corners) section of the Finder Builder controls how rounded the edges of every element in your finder are — buttons, the search input, filter dropdowns, the map tile, location cards, and tags. A single click applies a preset globally; a per-element editor lets you fine-tune individual elements when you need more control.

Where to find it

  1. Open your finder in the Finder Builder.
  2. Select the Design tab in the left sidebar.
  3. Scroll to the Corners section.
  4. Click a preset to apply it to all elements at once, or expand Customize per element to adjust individual elements.

The six presets

Six one-click presets let you set a consistent corner style across the whole finder:

PresetCharacter
SquareNo rounding — sharp, geometric, editorial
SoftVery subtle rounding — almost square, slightly warmer
DefaultLight rounding — clean and neutral
RoundedNoticeable curves — friendly, approachable
Soft pillStrong rounding — modern, consumer-app feel
PillFully pill-shaped buttons and tags — bold and playful

Click any preset to apply it instantly to the live preview.

💡 Tip: The location card defaults to 0 px (square) across all presets. You can increase it up to 24 px in the per-element editor below if your brand calls for rounded cards.

Per-element customization

If you want a specific element to differ from the overall preset, open the Customize per element disclosure. You’ll see a numeric slider for each element: Button, Input, Filter dropdown, Map, Tag, and Location card.

When your per-element values don’t match any of the six presets exactly, no preset button appears highlighted. This is the Custom state — your values are preserved, but you can return to any preset at any time by clicking it (this will overwrite your custom values).

💡 Tip: To make only tags pill-shaped while keeping everything else sharp, set the Tag radius to 50 px and leave the other elements on the Square or Soft preset.

How corner radius affects your finder’s feel

Corner radius is one of the fastest ways to align the widget’s visual tone with your brand:

  • Sharp corners (Square or Soft) read as more structured and professional — well suited to enterprise, real estate, or utilities.
  • Moderate rounding (Default or Rounded) is versatile and works with nearly any brand.
  • Heavy rounding (Soft pill or Pill) gives a playful, modern consumer-app feel. This works well with bolder color themes.
